CHILLED MONKEY BRAINS |
Hey! Long time no postie (yeah, I know)... Just a quick post to show some scatter terrain I did for TT Combat (now available on their website: http://ttcombat.com/products/back-alley-accessories). Hobos, refrigerator, battered sofa, trash cans, busted TV and bin bags!

Well here he is, finally, in all his dubious glory. For scale reference he is about the same height as a [insert name of AoS warrior], so he towers over the plastic GW Chaos Marauders. This is good, as he’s a champion and supposed to be well over 2 metres tall (about 7 feet).
He’s off to be cast now as part of the Oldhammer Sculpting Group: Circle of Chaos project. For those who might be interested in purchasing him – and any of his chaotic mates – I'll keep you posted! Feel free to contact me or leave a message here. Now, onto my next project… Cheers James Well, the barbarian is coming along and, apart from a couple of minor details like hands and weapons(!), he's almost there! Ok, so maybe I want to add a few tiny rivets on the sabatons and also add some little buckles on the straps holding the shin guards in place... ;)
Cheers for looking. More soon! Just a quick update to show how the leg armour is progressing and basic lump shape of the hammer. Will build up and define the sabatons (foot) and shin armour next, plus his belt buckle.
Well, it's been a little while since my last update (I've been a busy boy, working on top secret sizzle)...
I've skipped a few images to show where I am now with the barbarian, as I've managed to get a fair bit done since I last managed to update the blog. And without further ado, here he is: Another day, more putty. Adding some more muscles to the arms and building up the thighs. This guy (who's currently looking a bit like a poor man's Silver Surfer) is almost ready to get kitted out with some leg armour, shoulder pads, some nice sabatons (armoured shoes) and a suitably mahoosive beard.
The next stage after posing the armature is to lay down some putty to form the skeleton of the figure. Once this has cured, I start forming a rudimentary rib cage, shoulders and hips, as you can see in the images below.
In the next update I will begin bulking him out with some underlying body mass before moving on to basic musculature. “… myriad generations of unrelenting, merciless warfare had left Old Earth a brutalised, contaminated wasteland; its pock-marked horizons punctured with the stone and iron roots of grim fortresses that loomed scornfully over the ruins of lost civilisations; its inhabitants devolved into hordes of debased, savage barbarians…”
Here’s a sneak peek of some concept art for a top secret project I’ve been working on for some time now. Things are really coming together on this project and I will be making an official announcement soon (along with some pictures of miniatures)… Watch this space!
